Hongkong Cafe Review

OKAY! I was just a way too lazy to bring my precious camera along with me today. So instead I'm using two of my mobiles - N-97 & BB Onyx to capture the food we had for lunch. Me and mum ate at this chinese - western mixture cafe with old fashion western decoration called " Hong Kong Cafe". We ate at Central Park and I had been wanting to try out their food that looks delicious enough in their menus. I tried to control my tummy for not choosing many food since only two of us.

PS : I'm sorry for the very bad quality photos, couldn't help it! Can't wait to get myself Blue N-8! \m/

I have been developing a habit of eating desert before the meal. And I was stuck between the looking delicious Mango Fantasy (Mango Pudding with Mango ice-cream) and black-sesame pudding. But since my curiosity overruled my head, so I just have to choose "black-sesame" pudding. If you like sweet like myself and want to try something different then this one is the right desert for you. I love the taste even my mum who don't like sweet like it. The very soft texture of the pudding with sweet corns and coconut milk does make a good combination of taste.

This is my drink! It called "Perfect Match". It's basically combination of Milk, tea, coffee together and creamer too, I think. I'm not into choosing weird sound of drink. But this one is quite nice; adding grass jelly or some jelly would be great.

This is my Mum's lunch. Its called "Baked Rice Hong Kong Cafe Special". At first she said, she didn't want to eat any rice but after she saw the photo, she ordered them. First impression " It looks big" but right after her first bite, she said "very delicious". It's basically a Baked Rice with Grilled Chicken covered with melted cheese and milk. The taste is a bit spicy but the chili is mainly just to make it tasty, nothing else. And adding with chili sauce makes it nicer! I did give it a try and pretty much like it.

This is mine, mine, and mine!! my menu!! guess, what's that? The yellow sauce thingie? Guess what!! It's Pumpkin sauce and give me a reason for not ordered them right when you see it in the menu!!! I love pumpkin at least I spent almost 4 years eating pumpkin soup at winter time throughout the whole recess time! So YES, I love this one. Its not sweet at all but it's pretty milky. The menu is called "Chicken Chop Pumpkin Sauce". I love how their rice taste, not like usual rice. And added with Pumpkin Sauce, Milk, Grilled Chicken and Pumpkin cubes made this my favorite! But If you eat more than this plate, you'll be getting sick of its taste, trust me :)

My mum ordered their Dim Sum "Sie Mai" < no idea why they called it like that. But anyway, we weren't able to finish it so we had to bring it back home. I tried them and its pretty delicious though. But if you asked me whether they really "made" it themselves, then I must say no. pretty much they ordered through the "frozen" food distributor because it tastes reminds me of Sie Mai at Maystar restaurant! Are they buying at the same place? *wondering*!

"Baked Broccoli Cheese" is the name of this ugly looking food. Phew, I feel sorry how crap it looks like and I blamed my mobile camera for that. Anyway, this is just like normal Baked Broccoli with cheese that you usually eat; nothing different. When I ate it at the restaurant, the taste is kinda different. I mean the cheese didn't really absorbed into the broccoli. So the taste is like you eating steam broccoli with half baked cheese sauce. BUT! then we brought it back home and after we heated again, it tastes pretty nice though. The cheese sauce and Broccoli mixed together but somehow it tastes like Chinese food rather than western. But Overall its good :)

Er, honestly, its looking pretty when you see it in real. Once again, I'm so apologized for the bad looking photo that make this yummy "Fried Chicken Orange Sauce" looks weird. Like the above menu, this one also the same. Tried them in the restaurant and it tastes just okay but after pre-heated again at home, you can ensure this food is yummy! Fried Chicken Slices with Sesame Seeds and since its orange sauce so you'll be expecting some sour tastes.

OVERALL,  their food is delicious. The price is well around 30 Rb - 40 Rb ($3.00-$4.00) but for the Baked rice, I found it normal. But for the other menus like broccoli and Fried Chicken, its a bit pricy. Their place is very cozy and highly recommended for hang-out or even meeting or party. Like usual Chinese Restaurant, NEVER drink water/tea, their prices are above normal. Their food is basically a mixture of Chinese and Western food so there'll be a lot of cheese sauce here and there. But then, I guess their speciality is the "baked rice". Honestly, if you ever taste "Kim Gary's" baked rice then you'll find Hong Kong Cafe's is standard. Kim Gary's baked rice is tastier and more delicious. 8/10 for the food, its ambience though a bit pricy and the service is a bit slow!

TOP10 FUNNY Animal Portraits

Last weekend, I went to the local zoo with the twins & Mega and somehow well *coughing* it made me feel like I need to make my TOP 10 FUNNY Animal Portraits for fun. My favorite is definitely the adorable, huggable and lovable little white tiggie. I forgot his name but I found him at the Baby Zoo in Taman Safari Indonesia. Most of the animal photos are taken at Taman Safari Indonesia with markie and these photos are naturally unedited. My animal photos are rather entertaining since I'm lucky enough to be able to capture the candid photo of each of them. And the photo titles aren't impressive rather a bit weird but whatever! Well, VOTE which one do you like the most ^_^!

Saya Laper.. r.. r... (I'm hungry...)
I'm Hungry! This hippo opened his/her mouth so widely when I lowered down my car's window. We know how hungry he/she was, so we threw carrots to him/ her. I had a better version of this one but unfortunately it was blurry but this one would do as well, right? The photo composition looks good enough right? One Eye, Sharp Teeth, and Wide mouth Open! what else do you want? =p

Saya Lagi Bergaya Loh! (I'm Posing)
I heck no idea why that Orang Utan Pose like that. I opened my car's window and I zoomed my lens at this Orang Utan. Suddenly he walked nearer to that brick and posed like that! ha-ha-ha! FUNNY hey! While his/her friend was just being a good orang Utan, calm and looking decent. Damn poser! ha-ha-ha!

Si Cantik Yuci (The Pretty Yuci)
I'm not making up her name, I asked what is her name to her guard. She is the most friendly little tiger in the baby zoo (Taman Safari Indonesia) and she loves to be photographed. She always smile, loves playing and never bored of cheering those who wants to take a photo shoot with her. This is me and my friends favorite tiger and that scar of her, well see carefully.. it's a sign of L O V E and WE LOVE YUCI ^____^

Inilah Pose Andalanku (My best pose)
This jamaican looking Orang Utan always pose like this and he could actually pose like that for I don't know how many minutes. I went somewhere and he still posing like that. So I guess this is his favorite pose. Shockingly, I didn't realize that He was posing until I saw this photo on my laptop. I knew his eyes are looking at my camera but I just didn't realize he was just a damn poser Orang Utan! ha-ha-ha-ha! Old but still funny and trying his best to look "handsome" in the photo =P So Do you love or hate him? =P

Kami Cinta di Foto (We love to be photographed)
Wouldn't you be agreed with my funny title? Look at both of them. One is posing by closing his eyes and the other one is smiling. Their actions ( you should had seen it) made me write that title; they really love to be photographed; I caught a photo of them while pretending to fight, talk, kiss too! Wait was them kissing? Not sure! but it was kinda blur in a way so have to choose this photo as my favorite of this lovely dovey birdies! Don't know I think this photo look better rather than have both of the birds looking at my camera!

 Weks, Weks!!! Weks!!!  =P
DON'T laugh at the title! I can't help it. "Teasing You" doesn't seem a funny name! so the way this king of the jungle showed how funny he's. I mean not that he's nice or made this kind of emotion on purpose but hey, my camera was in continuos mode so I managed to capture this "weks" expression of the roar master! PS : no! I captured this lion from the glass room with my Zoom Lens at Singapore Zoo last year.

Lagi Makan kok Di Foto?(Taking my photo while eating)
Candid photo of a parrot while eating peanut (yes, I just describe things that you see in a photo) at Taman Mini, Indonesia. Old stock photo that I love too! I love the Bokeh, the 3/4 photo of the beautiful red parrot with colorful feathers. It made this photo became a "portrait" photo of him or her? I forgot! Him I think! or her? *not sure*! But whatever, His/her face looks so decent and it seemed that I caught him/her candid while eating. Since I love taking Candid photos, then there's no reason for not making this as my favorite! Is it your favorite too?

Awww... Lucu Na Aku! (Awww, I'm so adorable)
Well, I've this weird attitude that I like (mostly) naming my photo title (whatever photos) based on the first impression or words when I see it. This "Baby Orang Utan" was taken last year with my Canon 40D and 18-300 MM zoom lens (damn heavy) at Singapore Zoo. I love the "shiny" baby's eyes and the expression when he/she looked at my lens. It's just like a rare moment at least for taking a photo of an active orang utan. So I gave myself a pat in the head for able to capture the right moment with the right expression. *Congratulation Mz.g!e".

Masih Ngantuk (Still Sleepy)

Okay! I'm sorry to be so picky but this white little tiger is definitely my favorite amongst others. The composition is alright, nothing wow. But when you see this photo of his (It's a boy, I'm sure), it looks rather like a stuff doll than a tiger itself. I had no idea why I only focused on the left side of his face only but I guess that's what make him look different and adorable. Honestly, after seeing this photo, I feel like coming back again to Taman Safari and bring him home. Oh! I so adore him! My favorite, lovable, huggable and sleepy lil' white tiggie!

Mata Si Hitam Putih (The Black & White's eye)
There's something about this photo that make me fall in love with it. Originally its color but since its zebra then I thought of just made it Black and White. I love how focused I was toward his/her eye and the eye lashes too. Should it need to be cropped? In a way yes but somehow the composition isn't bad neither, right? The zebra's lines make, focused eye, and sharp eye lashes made me adore this photo of mine. Yes sometimes, we need to love our photos so we can be more creative and inspired for the weakness.

The Poser Parrot
Additional parrot photo *giggles*. I remembered I gave this photo for my photography assignment and the teacher just happened to reject it for I don't know why. I'm not sure what "part" of the parrot should we really need to show to make a good parrot photo. But, then we know that photography is subjective so though he didn't like it but I do. The parrot's face told us "hey, I'm posing right now, take a photo of me please while eating", What do you say? he-he-he!

Twinnie Last Food

First of all, I apologized for the non-focus and blurry photos. I was just too exhausted after finished my work as a first photographer for my friend's friend wedding. So yes, being the only photographer held the camera for hours and hours made my hands unsteady. I was starving but anyway, the photos isn't that crap, can still be seen and looking nice. We were looking very hungry, weren't we?

Anyway, these are the last food that the twins ate before they headed back to Singapore. We ate at Java Kitchen, Central Park. The traditional food is totally pricy but the price isn't that bad; pretty rational and oh, I love their Ice Cendol, LOVELY!

This is my so not delicious Nasi Gudeng. Well theirs is different than the usual Nasi Gudeng but definitely regretted on eating them. And I hate fried unions and since I was so hungry, I didn't complain much. Just finished it and drank Ice Cendol =D

I'm not sure what this one is called. but it's fried fish with fried tofu and soya bean. Karin's food and enjoyed eating it. It looks delicious but I was just fully concentrated on my food only LOL

Their unique way of presenting the Fried Rice. This one is Devi's menu and she said the tastes is just alright.  I guess the street fried rice nearby my house tastier than this expensive looking fried rice =P

Okay! That's all. The satay photo is blur so I didn't upload, did it on purpose for deleting it too from my laptop's memory. Personally, I don't like their Indonesian Vegetable's Salad with Peanut Sauce! It doesn't taste like Gado-Gado (that's how they called it). But Overall, it's just average food but some of their food is quite good though but I just happened to forget which ones!
