2010 Recalled

Do you see my eyes because seriously, I just realized, I couldn't see my two small eyes! he-he-he! Okay! cut the crap and let's start to write! This time, it's going to be longer post so bare with me =D!

Well, finally and officially we waved goodbye to the beautiful year of 2010. 2010 had been the best year in my whole life so far; a year where each and every little things are going well and walking toward the paths I want them to be at. 2010 is a year where I've learnt and experienced the power of be thankful and saying 'thank you' to every little thing that happened in your daily life though it was a dull day! I've met lots of new people this year more than in previous years and we shared lots of laughters together too! For my best friends, we are still as close or might even be closer this year.

The first few months were a bit tough but it got a lot better each month and awesome sometimes! The first few months were about my parents and their health. It was stressing and that's one of the reasons I quit my job as a Jr. Journalist due to take care of them :)

I had the best party on welcoming the new age of 26 (loving it a bunch). Got to love each and everything about my birthday party! The best birthday party ever and so did on the day of its official party! There were two birthday parties going on that day because I made a surprised for my best friend! Then followed by the awesome trip to Bali and Bandung which was a great escape :)

Done with the fun on for the continously non-stop 4 weeks, I ended the end of the month by went undergo tonsil operation at Singapore. But though, I was on recovering session in Singapore for the next 5 days but I had good times too! This year, I felt so bonding with Singapore and felt like settling down myself as a photographer - at least having my photography's branch in Singapore :-)

September : September was all about 'family bonding time"; precisely, me and mum got closer each time and I think it was the best birthday of her that I had been into. Right on her birthday, I went out with my friends but I made the right decision so I could got her a birthday cake! I knew it's birthday and we should went out for lunch/dinner but we didn't since mum wasn't feeling well. But a week afterwards, me and mum had lunch together then followed by family dinner with her sisters (minus dad like always) and I think it was the best family dinner so far! It was good. and I launched this blog :D!!!

Finally a family photo after a decade :)

October : this is the month where my whole 30 days were busy with work! Took photos every week and the rest of the week days were busy with the editing. So mostly occupied with works and there's no reason for not loving being busy with the job you love :-). I also went to a wedding workshop and thankful that I took a part of it. I met new-rising and senior photographers who are so sweet on giving out tips and sharing experiences - awesome. I knew I got sad for unable to go to Korea due to already pay for the workshop but I made the right decision to stick with it and it was wonderful, Thanks LORD!

November : I went to another photography workshop today and totally disappointed and bored me to death! Anyway for the first and second week of November, I was quite busy but then afterwards, I kept wondering about my "December" and "February". I got January full on schedules but those two months, I wondered what to do anyway! I also captured my friend's sister sweet 17th birthday party and hard to believe that I enjoyed it too! Have to love their totally super friendly family! See, I'm 17!!! Oh yeah, on this month, My hubby is hospitalized as well as the lens! And on the same month too, I had a job to do and my clients were just phew! hardly to be described with good words! I was pissed anyway!

December : shockingly, everybody was so happy and living life to the fullest unless me, I guess. I had a rough first week with that crazy client I had! they really just needed to learn on how to appreciate their worker, honestly! Then thank GOD, devi made it! She came from Bandung and I had a good escape for the past 4 days! Went for culinary travels, watched movie, and just you know being lazy. Then I went to Bandung for Devi's Pre-Wed and sadly, I was horribly sick! The stupid fever, coughing, sore throat and all the stuff just kicked in. I missed out the fun, lots of it!!

X-MAS was few days away and yet I was still sick or getting worst! But hard to believe that I was actually having a great X-MAS Eve ( If only I hadn't sick) and you can see the fun in my previous entry including the video too :-)

And surely, I won't forgot 2010 X-MAS where I went to the hospital at 3 am in the morning because I couldn't sleep! My left eye is still red, a bit of fever and coughing all the time, so I just went crazy and went to doctor with mum. Then I was fallen asleep throughout the whole X-MAS and so did the next day too! And the next 3 days after the 26th were just awesome! I felt the joy of late X-MAS spirit as well  with lots of awesome presents too!

Then New Year eve was great too! I went to my mate's house who held BBQ session at his house! Played the fireworks, captured photos and definitely had lots of laughter too! Though I had to go back home earlier than other (had to shoot wedding in the morning) but once again 2010 had become the best year in my whole life and so did the new year party too! It was a great year to end the year with laughters, delicious food and adorable friends, Thanks!

AND for my love, appreciation and being so blessed in the year of 2010, I made a video by using the song that is the reminder of good life I'm living on. ONE REPUBLIC - GOOD LIFE. The video is quite fast in changing into one scene because It would be kind of lame on making 10 minutes of video, right? but anyway I'm so thankful to the LORD, Universe, Mother, Father, best and good friends (even new friends and enemies) for colored my 2010 life with laughters, angers and lots of things to be thankful off.

MY X-MAS

" Shake it up,
Shake up the happiness!
Wake it up,
Wake up the happiness
Come on y'all
It's Christmas time
Ho,H o,Ho
It's Christmas time :) "

My favorite X-MAS 2010 song has to be the ones from TRAIN - Shake up Christmas! I love the beats and simple lyric that brings out the happiness of Christmas to those who listen to their song whether they celebrate it or not.

MERRY late CHRISTMAS from me and hope all of you had a wonderful X-MAS Celebration. Unfortunately, I missed the joy on X-MAS day as in fact, I went to doctor at 3.30 am in the hospital and asked for medicines. Thanks to the trio of flu, cold and fever that made me so down and slept throughout the whole X-MAS. However, I had to be thankful to be able to celebrate X-MAS on X-MAS Eve with friends , thanks LORD & Universe.

The party on the 24th of December is planned by my best friend, Andi and unexpectedly most of those who got invited came along! We had our time at Glasshouse, Pluit, West Jakarta with around 25 people or more. Unfortunately, I was so doomed throughout the whole time! the cough, the red left eye and fever kicked me down so I didn't really have much fun as I should or else, it would be totally the best x-mas party ever! There were so much laughters and joy that we shared on that day! Funny things happened, silly games were played and totally great atmosphere and companions to spend the X-MAS Eve with. WD Andi, you nailed it =)!

Taken from my friend's camera! see, I'm quite happy holding my present =P

Honestly, tell me what do you think of the Video fusion that I made yesterday! I'm the one who did everything from the shooting, editing and ideas too! Yeah, though I'm so sick on that day but my photographer and videographer soul made me still able to capture the moments. Anyway, lately I'm hooked by videography and thinking of deepen my skill towards it especially with the awesome camera I've, I should utilize it to the max, right? he-he-he!

Of course, I also got myself gifts (not one but lots :p). I decided to spend enough money towards buying new lenses, new camera bag (horaii), rechargeable batteries, and also 2 pairs of jeans and more to come too! I still in search of buying clothes but haven't found the one I really want, so need to hunt them down :p! HEY! my friends also gave me x-mas presents which are : Doraemon Mini-Fan and umbrella! Ha, finally I got new fan! Thanks boys!

This is what I got for my mum along with X-MAS cookies, chocolates and white-chocolate peanuts. I saw this cute Santa Claus cushion and suddenly, my thought goes to mum. I'm definitely happy that mum likes it too and beside it's huggable!

Once again, MERRY LATE X-MAS and GOD BLESS YOU & FAMILY :-)

My Beloved Mother

That photo of my mum was taken when she was in her 30's I think or younger and until now she's still as beautiful as she was 41 years ago. On 12th September 2010 is my mum 71st birthday and since she was unwell on that time, she decided to pending her celebration until 22nd September.  My mum is the eldest in the family with two sisters whom she's closed with even at this age.

My mum! Well, she spent her whole years busy working for her family at first then later on for us. She worked as a treasury manager and that job fully occupied her until she retired at the age of  67. And being a successful woman made her scarifies the only daughter she has and that's me.

Taken with N-6600 (old photo)
Disappointed so much with her is the feeling I grew up with. Sometimes it made me hate her in a way but as I grew older I realized it was for a better future living. It's sad when you told a story that your parents didn't know you well enough nor be there when you were a kid. But I guess that's a past I must dealt with.

Beside that, I wasn't really growing up to be closed with parents until the last 3 years I guess. They sent me to Australia when I was almost 15 and when I got back to Indonesia for good, it was pissed me off. It was so damn hard to live with parents who never there for you but now stuck with you for 24 hours! It took around almost 2 or 3 years to adapt where everyday I would be arguing with mum. There were more time of angering to each other than to actually have good time with. It made me even hate her more and felt like running away from home. She annoyed me a lot but anyway time flew and I started to learn and deal with her impatience attitudes too.

Often I yelled at her and I knew by yelling at her made she realized that "that's what my daughter want". She isn't a kind of person who's willing to learn nor changed until you yelled and told her right in front of her face. So, I stood up for what I believed and I knew I hurt her a way too much. But whatever words I said were the truth and now she becomes someone better. If you think that old people can't change then you are so wrong.

Do you know that changes is depending on the person's itself not its age? Yes, it was hard for mum in her 60's to actually change herself but she never failed too. So as time goes by, As we get used to each other, we learnt and we argued lesser. So yeah, I'm very thankful for the efforts she made to herself in getting used to me. But the most I'm thank the LORD for given me so much opportunities to be a better daughter for her every time.

See, my mum is a very talkative lady who like to make things complicated most of time. But when she was sick, I missed her angry and those unimportant talks she usually made. She was stuck in the hospital for 10 days, 3 months ago because of thypus and dengue fever. So, seeing her lying in the bed just made me frowned and I missed her happy joyful face. But anyway, I try to keep my smily face and cheering her up. I didn't want to show her my sadness but later she said I was just being a kiddo!! -.-

Overall,  I adore her as a lady; the scarifies she had made when she was young. I bet she knew the consequences she made in the past and sometimes I do yelled at her often. No, I'm not a perfect daughter nor a kind of daughter she ever had in mind but as a daughter I'll be giving my best to understand her and be more compromised. Sometimes I'm too lazy to argue but I do know I've anger management issue.

Mother, mother, no matter how hard I try to hate at the end, your love, passions and patience conquered it all. Pardon me for unable to make the dreams you have for me, but don't worry, you'll be seeing me reaching on the top of your dream. Pardon me for being harsh and hard to you but I'm also giving my best to cool down and be wiser. I wrote in my facebook status "As you grow older, you'll have more respect to yourself, family and others too. And as you become bolder and wiser, you'll appreciate every little things in life whether it's the good or bad things that happened. And as you become mentally mature you'll love your family first then yourself"

These are photos that I captured with my SLR cameras and the smile of her is just priceless. It makes me so happy whenever I able to capture her smiling. She doesn't like to be captured but when she sees the photo and she looks good in it, she won't mind for the second photo session ha-ha-ha! This is  a portrait of my pretty mother and her PRICELESS smile, Love you mother :)
