Ayana, The Rock Bar

So, I went to Bali on August with mates for couple of days and many told us to visit this bar called The Rock Bar at Ayana Hotel. I saw some photos of my friends who had been there and it's beautiful. Then we got a chance to visit the hotel on our last day before going back to Jakarta. It had been heavy raining throughout our whole way up to this beautiful hotel. And it's sadden us more when we asked the security and he told us that the bar is still closed. It was around 2 PM when we got there but anyway, we still decided to spend some time down there, taking photos and hey, I was left behind. My mates were up at somewhere far, while I really took a lot of time to get into one place!

Here are the photos that I took with my SLR and of course I retouched the photos with High Pass. This hotel has a very beautiful view and having your PRE-WED photos being taken there is just wow. Its surrounding doesn't make you feel as if you are at Bali; it makes you somewhere in the country side. Luckily, the rain stopped when we got there so some of my photos were kinda cloudy in a way though! ENJOY ^_^

You gotta use that white lift to go down to the bar.

The so called famous bar  and such a pity I couldn't get close since I was in a rush!

The so called Chapel with very beautiful view

Sushi!

Sushi! Who love Sushi? Well I do but I like the cooked ones so the chewy and juicy fresh salmon they said is definitely out from my list. I love Tuna, so my sushi menus are full of Tuna! Tuna Salad Roll, Inari Tuna, whatever Tuna cooked sushi I'm gonna love it. Usually I eat at this two famous Japanese Restaurants; Sushi Tei and Kiyadon. So the food are basically from there :)

These are the Sushi photos that I took using my N-97 camera. Personally, The Ala Carte menu is better at Kiyadon especially their Cawan Mushi but for The Sushi itself, Sushi Tei is better, more fresh :)

Chicken Don or whatever it called @ Kiyadon

Shockingly, I didn't have lots of photos taken from my SLR Cameras. I tried to look at my old files and couldn't find any. These are the very recent photos that I just took today!

Semanggi's Traffic

Friday night it was and I was stuck in a traffic although it wasn't bad but still it's jammed. I guess, our city is more than just getting crowded but worst. I went through this road called Semanggi around 8pm and yes I have to admit this is one of the busiest road in Jakarta whether morning or night. Errr, still it's weekend?!!

Anyway, I was just so bored so I took out my digital camera and snapped some photos while my car was moving. Of course, I had to use High ISO, 800-1600 it was, hand-held and with a bit touched of photoshop like sharpen and orange colors added.

And this artistic favorite photo of mine is the one that my friend didn't like ha-ha-ha! I love this one, pretty artistic isn't it? =P

Failure

Pandu's Church @ Bandung
Last month, my aunty who lives in Bandung (another biggest cities in Indonesia nearby Jakarta) told me that there's a photography competition at her church. She told me to enter the free competition and give a try as an experience. So I thought, why not, beside my heart felt like I had to do it so I did anyway.

My family and friends were being so supportive and said at least one of my photos deserved to win a prize. I was so confident especially when a random stranger came and praised me. He was even asked some the photos to be printed. They said that the photos could be either about the people, interior and its exterior and this what we had chosen. And here are the photos that could made me a winner.

Then today, my mum told me not to be so sad and down knowing that the winners are guys. Of course I was so down because I could see the disappointment in her face and beside I already had planned to get a good use of the money! I was so torn apart, furious with everything but had to stay calm in front of her. Thanks to the beloveds who listened to my angers and comforted me afterwards. I know at the end of the night, I would be saying "thank you" to the Almighty for the ups and downs of today's life. But this anger of mine is just hard to be controlled, made me felt like a failure. Another moment, another failure!

However this quote that Devi gave me the other night that ran in my head " Remember, nothing worth while comes easy. There will be many nights when you think to your self "what am I doing". Stick with it and there will be a payoff at the end of the tunnel. Most importantly, enjoy your whole journey. The success at the end wouldn't be as welcome if there wasn't the struggle at the beginning".

Isn't that exactly what I'm going through right now? What Am I doing ? Am I really doing the right thing? Is this the career that I'm so passionate about? So many questions and all I needed are opportunities. Well, I guess I just need to be more focused, determined, seeking more opportunities, be humble and willing to learn. A new better photographer side of me, here I come. Thanks Devi , Karin and Andi for the supports and critics :)

PS : These are the other photos that ain't submitted but I like it anyway or might be I have submitted a wrong photo? *wondering now*
